ORGANIZATIONAL AND LEGAL FRAMEWORK FOR PARLIAMENTARY CONTROL OVER THE STATE BUDGET DURING COVID-19 PANDEMIC

Abstract

The article analyzes the features of parliamentary control over the state budget during the COVID-19 pandemic based on the scientific experience of domestic and foreign countries. The exercise of parliamentary control over the state budget in emergency situations is one of the most contentious issues. This question is especially relevant in today's era during the COVID-19 pandemic. In the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic, parliamentary control over government budgets was problematic in many countries for several reasons. First, the legislature was threatened by public health and safety issues. Second, governments are asking lawmakers to revise the budget. As a result, there was a need for flexible parliamentary oversight. The article analyzes the example of developed foreign countries on the basis of the problems listed above. In particular, on the example of Great Britain, Denmark, Iceland, Spain, Norway, Australia and other countries.
