ENSURING WOMEN'S RIGHTS AND ACHIEVING GENDER EQUALITY IN UZBEKISTAN

This scientific article analyzes the development of state policy aimed at ensuring women’s rights in Uzbekistan and enhancing their role in society. The article provides detailed information on the international legal foundations of women’s rights, the legal documents of the Republic of Uzbekistan regarding the promotion of gender equality, and the ongoing reforms in this field. In particular, it examines the laws, decrees, and resolutions adopted in Uzbekistan to protect women’s rights, as well as the measures taken to prevent gender-based discrimination and support women in the economic, social, and political spheres. The article discusses existing problems and future measures needed to protect women from violence and harassment, reduce domestic violence, involve women in production and labor activities, and ensure their active participation in society.It also analyzes the achievements and challenges of Uzbekistan in the field of gender equality and includes a comparative analysis of advanced international practices in this area.
