Maqolada neft va gaz sanoati mutaxassislariga ingliz tilini o‘rgatishda maqsadli topshiriqlarga asoslangan o‘qitish usuli (Task-Based Language Teaching, TBLT) qo‘llanilishi, uning dolzarbligi va kasbiy kommunikativ ko‘nikmalarga ta’siri muhokama qilinadi. TBLT real ishchi vazifalardan, masalan, xavfsizlik protokollarini ishlab chiqish, texnik muammolarni hal qilish va xalqaro muzokaralar olib borish kabi topshiriqlardan foydalanib, amaliy va qamrab oluvchi o‘quv muhitini yaratadi. Soha uchun xos bo‘lgan real hayotiy vaziyatlarga e’tibor qaratish orqali TBLT o‘quvchilarga texnik lug‘at zaxirasini, tanqidiy fikrlash va jamoada ishlash ko‘nikmalarini rivojlantirish imkonini beradi, shu bilan birga ularning lingvistik kompetensiyasini oshiradi. Maqolada TBLTning o‘lchab bo‘ladigan afzalliklari, jumladan, o‘quvchilar motivatsiyasining oshishi, texnik lug‘atni o‘zlashtirishni yaxshilash va amaliy kommunikativ ko‘nikmalarni rivojlantirish masalalari yoritilgan. Shuningdek, til to‘siqlari, resurslarning yetishmasligi va o‘qituvchilarni tayyorlash zarurati kabi muammolar tahlil qilinadi. Maqola ushbu muammolarni hal qilish uchun past darajadagi til ko‘nikmalariga ega bo‘lgan o‘quvchilarni qo‘llab-quvvatlash, resurslarni ishlab chiqishda soha mutaxassislari bilan hamkorlik qilish va o‘qituvchilar uchun maqsadli trening dasturlarini taklif etadi.
