Maqolada maxsus maqsadlar uchun ingliz tili (ESP), xususan, fan va texnologiya uchun ingliz tili (EST) va umumiy ingliz tili (GE) terminologiyasi o‘rtasidagi farqlar oʻrganilib, boʻlajak ingliz tili o‘qituvchilari uchun individual lingvistik maqsadlarning ahamiyati taʼkidlangan. Unda chet tillarini o‘qitishning evolyutsiyasi muhokama qilinib, globallashuv tufayli turli kasbiy kontekstlarda ingliz tilini o’rgatishga e'tiborning o'zgarishi zarurligi ta’kidlanadi. Bundan tashqari, geologiya terminologiyasining, xususan, fors tilining tarixiy taraqqiyoti ko‘rib chiqilib, uning rivojlanish bosqichlari belgilab berilgan.
So‘z yasashning turli usullari orqali til lug‘atini boyitishda geologik terminologiyaning roliga alohida e’tibor beriladi. Nihoyat, talabalarning so‘zma-so‘z tarjima qilish odati tufayli ilmiy ingliz tilini tushunishda duch keladigan qiyinchiliklar muhokama qilinadi va ilmiy sohalarda til ko'nikmalarini oshirish strategiyalari taklif etiladi. Maqola muhokama qilingan mavzular bo‘yicha qo‘shimcha tadqiqot natijalarini taqdim etadigan havolalar bilan boyitilgan.
