DIAGNOSTIC ASPECTS OF CHRONIC CATARRHAL GINGIVITIS IN CHRONIC HEPATITIS
Keywords:
catarrhal gingivitis, liver, hepatitis, periodontal disease, hepatobiliary system, gastrointestinal tractAbstract
Most researchers recognize a close pathogenetic relationship between inflammatory periodontal diseases and somatic pathology, especially with diseases of the hepatobiliary system (GBS). Given that it is in the liver that bile is continuously formed, the coordinated interaction of the structures of the liver and biliary tract determines general approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of hepatobiliary pathology. The relationship between the oral cavity and the gastrointestinal tract is a predisposing factor to the development of periodontal disease. It has been established that in patients with chronic hepatitis, the prevalence of catarrhal gingivitis occurs one and a half times more often than in healthy individuals.
