Leukoplakia refers to an optional precancerous disease characterized by varying degrees of keratinization of the surface epithelium, and the rate of malignant transformation of leukoplakia varies widely. In general, the nature of untreated precancerous leukoplakia with a high degree of probability can be considered a sign of malignancy.
