The article analyzes the theoretical and practical aspects of preparing future teachers for professional activity based on the competency-based approach. It is emphasized that the competency-based approach in the educational process is aimed at the integrated development of an individual’s knowledge, skills, and personal qualities. The article examines effective methods for preparing future teachers, including project-based learning, simulation, and reflective practice, as well as competency-based assessment mechanisms. It has been determined that competency-based training equips future teachers not only with theoretical knowledge but also with practical skills necessary for real pedagogical activity.
