HADITH HERITAGE AND SOCIAL NORMS: THEORETICAL AND PRACTICAL ANALYSIS
Keywords:
social norm; sanction; hadith; Imam al-Bukhari; sociology; social solidarity; symbolic capital; justiceAbstract
The article provides an in-depth analysis of the role of hadith heritage in shaping social norms and sanctions. The study is conducted on the basis of the cause–effect methodology and draws upon the hadiths of Imam al-Bukhari from Al-Jāmiʿ al-Sahīh, focusing on the consolidation of social solidarity, justice, and moral values. This article places special emphasis on social norms, their types, and their relationship with social capital and the cultural context. Furthermore, a comparative analysis is made between the hadiths and É.Durkheim’s theory of collective consciousness, M.Weber’s concept of social action, T.Parsons’s theory of the social system, and P.Bourdieu’s notion of symbolic capital. As a result, hadith heritage is interpreted not only as a religious source but also as a sociological factor that ensures social stability.
