Abstract

In the article, the author deals with the issue of gender in Uzbekistan. Gender processes are based not so much on the fixed, static meaning of existing female-male differences in social development, but rather on the - changes taking place in society with regard to the functional responsibilities traditionally attributed to women and men.  Since the day of independence, gender equality has been one of the fundamental democratic principles of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which is enshrined in the Constitution of the country, which proclaims the equality of men and women. Measures for radical improvement of activities in the sphere of supporting women and strengthening the institution of the family were defined. The author considers the views of such researchers as F.L. Jes, Kletsina I.S., Yulia Yusupova and others about the concept of "correct" social status, characterizing a man and woman as a successful person. The question of a woman-leader arises, where in establishing contacts a woman mainly proceeds from the understanding and awareness of her inherent qualities - sociability, organization, empathy. A female leader is focused on interaction and communication with her subordinates. Also the author of the article stresses that the qualities of a leader to a greater extent connected with the personal characteristics of the person, gender identity, rather than with his sex.
