ENDOGAMOUS MARITAL RELATIONS

Abstract

The article presents a sociological analysis of endogamous, that is, family-marriage relations between close relatives, often found in traditional societies. The authors indicated in it the causes, consequences and causal relationships of the continuation of family marital relations between close relatives, based on the results of expert research. A comparative analysis of the socio-psychological experiences of endogamous family relations between the youth and the older generation is carried out from the standpoint of sociology. In the course of the study of the problem, endogamous family and marriage relations in the Indian caste society, the customs and traditions that have developed in it, were analyzed, and its interrelationships with closely related kinship occurring in local conditions were compared. It should be noted that the globalization of the world, the informatized society also have an impact on traditional relations. Although the number of endogamous marriages has sharply decreased in recent years, its historical and social periodic indicators have not yet lost their relevance to science.
