IMPROVING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF ANTI-CORRUPTION EFFORTS IN THE SOCIAL SPHERE OF UZBEKISTAN

This article examines corruption within Uzbekistan’s social protection system and proposes measures to enhance the effectiveness of anti-corruption policy in the social sphere. It reviews the theoretical and legal foundations (Law on Combating Corruption, key Presidential decrees, State programs), analyzes digital innovations (Unified Social Protection Register, proactive pension assignment), and explores sociological aspects (public perception, vulnerable groups). Drawing on empirical data and case studies, the main corruption schemes are identified: bribery in benefit allocation, fraud in concessional lending, misuse of in-kind assistance, extortion in disability certification, and embezzlement of public funds.
