Ushbu konseptual tahlilda qadimgi Hindistonning Astika maktablarini o'rganilgan, ular Vedalarni obro'li matnlar sifatida qabul qilishlari va borliq asosidagi ilohiy haqiqatga ishonishlari bilan ajralib turardilar. Oltita an'anaviy Astika maktablari - Nyaya, Vaisheshika, Samxya, Yoga, Mimamsa va Vedanta - ularning asosiy e'tiqodlari, falsafiy asoslari va hind tafakkuriga qo'shgan hissalariga e'tibor qaratgan holda batafsil o'rganiladi.
