Maqolada perepatetizm yо‘nalishi asoschisi, yunon falsafasining yirik vakillaridan biri Aristotel hamda sharq perepatetizm yо‘nalishi vakillaridan biri Ibn Rushdning erkinlik fenomeni haqidagi tasavvurlari о‘rganilgan. Aristotelning tug‘ma qullik va tug‘ma erkinlik tushunchalari haqidagi tasavvurlari о‘rganilgan. Uning nuqtayi nazari о‘z zamonasining falsafiy, ijtimoiy va siyosiy muhitidan kelib chiqqan holatda yoritilib berilgan. Ibn Rushdning nuqtayi nazari mutafakkir zamondoshlarining fikrlarini tanqidi asosida yoritilib berilgan. О‘rta asr falsafasida davrdagi erkinlik va zaruriyat atamalari diniy-falsafiy qarashlar uyg‘unligi asnosida kо‘rib chiqilgan. Taqdir va erk masalalariga e’tibor qaratilgan. Shuningdek, bu ikki mutafakkirning erk masalasi haqidagi izohlari komparativistikasi keltirilgan.
