CATEGORY OF BEAUTY AND ITS PLACE IN UZBEK ETHNO-CULTURE

A people, a nation with its historical and cultural paradigm is not limited to utilitarian goals, it also wants to reconstruct and improve its environment and life in accordance with the laws and requirements of beauty. Beauty is an exemplar of emotionally conceived form, an ideal against which other aesthetic categories are considered. It is the main category of aesthetics.
Ethnoculture can be objectively, fully and deeply understood only when it is evaluated from the point of view of aesthetics. The criteria and methods of aesthetics are sought from the content of ethnoculture, from the examples of creativity, artifacts and traditions that have become its component. Simplicity in folk creativity and art, speaking in a fluent language, traditional expressions, and didactic advice are essentially beautiful. In them, content and form, essence and expression form a whole. It is known that Aristotle considered the harmony of content and form, whole and part, small and large as a sign of beauty. According to his concept, beauty is in harmony. This article examines the category of beauty and its role in Uzbek ethnoculture. It is also noted that there is beauty as well as ugliness in nature and social life, but these ambivalent phenomena do not always coexist.
