Abstract

The article examines the potential for improving students’ communicative competence through the study and interpretation of satirical literary works. The theoretical foundations of using satire in the educational process are analyzed, including its linguistic, sociocultural, and pragmatic features. The paper outlines methodological approaches to working with satirical texts that foster critical thinking, interpretive skills, and the ability to recognize implicit meanings. The study concludes that satire is a highly effective tool for developing communicative competence.
