CAPITALISM AND HUMAN PSYCHOLOGY

This article discusses the views of the famous French philosopher and socio-psychologist Emile Durkheim on the impact of the development of the material development of society on human psychology. In particular, the author’s views on suicide, his views on his origin, and statistics on his time are given. Types of suicides have been identified when and under what circumstances it is associated with a social crisis. At the same time, Durkheim’s views on the shortcomings of capitalist society, the changes taking place in the human psyche, and the main differences between modern and ancient society are examined.
