The article studies the socio-psychological characteristics of the individual, the committed act of suicide. Theoretical and practical problems of psychoprophylaxis of suicide are analyzed. Adolescent maximalist, feelings of loneliness in old age, special effects of the Internet aimed at human behavior, passion and worship of people for wealth, commodity fetishism are studied as factors of suicidal mood. Suicide and attempted suicide are studied from the point of view of existentialism, and Logotherapy, founded by Viktor Frankl, is proposed as their prevention.
