Назла касаллигининг диагностикаси тамойиллари триада симптомларига асосланган-КИБ нинг толерантлик даражасидан ошиши,кўриш сохасидаги ўзгаришлар,биринчи навбатда,Беррум сохасида,шунингдек,кўриш нервининг глаукоматоз чукурлигида. Шуни эътироф этиш керакки,КИБ даражаси кўрув нервининг атрофияси ривожланишининг ягона тасдиқланган хавф омилидир ва айни пайтда биз таъсир қиладиган ягона омил хисобланади.Шунинг учун,КИБ таърифи диагностикада катта ахамиятга эга ва назла касаллигини даволаш самарадорлигини бахолаш учун асос бўлиб хизмат қилади.
