ASSESSMENT OF ANXIETY LEVELS IN PATIENTS WITH TMJ DISC DISPLACEMENTS

The article presents data on changes in anxiety levels in patients with anterior displacements of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disc.
The article presents a comprehensive analysis of changes in anxiety levels in patients diagnosed with anterior displacement of the temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disc. The study aims to assess the psychoemotional status of patients with TMJ internal derangements and to identify possible correlations between the severity of anatomical displacement and anxiety indicators. Clinical, radiological, and psychometric methods were employed, including standardized anxiety assessment scales. The results demonstrate a statistically significant increase in anxiety levels in patients with anterior disc displacement compared to healthy controls. Higher anxiety scores were associated with pain intensity, functional limitations, and duration of the disorder. The findings highlight the importance of a multidisciplinary approach to the diagnosis and treatment of TMJ disorders, emphasizing the need to consider psychological factors alongside somatic manifestations to improve therapeutic outcomes.
