Reproduktiv salomatlik kontseptsiyasida o'smirlik muammolariga alohida o'rin beriladi. Hozirgi vaqtda reproduktiv, endokrin va boshqa tizimlarning faoliyatida eng katta stress va labillik qayd etilgan. Somatik va endokrin kasalliklar mavjud bo'lganda, reproduktiv salomatlik buzilishi xavfi sezilarli darajada oshadi. O‘zbekistonning aksariyat hududlarida olib borilayotgan profilaktika tadbirlariga qaramay, o‘rtacha va yengil yod tanqisligi saqlanib qolmoqda. Eng muhimlaridan biri yod tanqisligi bo'lgan hududlarda yashovchi odamning aql-zakovati muammosi bo'lib, ma'lumki, bu hududlarda o'rtacha 10 kishi me'yordan 10-15% past. O'smir qizlarda qalqonsimon bez patologiyasi va hayz ko'rish buzilishi o'rtasidagi munosabatni aniqlash uchun faqat bir nechta tadqiqotlar mavjud. Biroq, qalqonsimon bez kasalliklarining turli shakllarining qizning reproduktiv tizimiga ta'siri, o'smirlik davridagi bemorlarda hayz ko'rish funktsiyasini tiklashda qalqonsimon terapiyaning ta'siri samaradorligi to'g'risidagi savollar hali ham to'liq tushunilmagan. Reproduktiv va qalqonsimon tizimlar o'rtasidagi murakkab o'zaro tartibga soluvchi munosabatlar, qalqonsimon bez patologiyasi bilan birgalikda hayz ko'rish disfunktsiyasi muammosini o'rganish uchun fanlararo yondashuvning maqsadga muvofiqligini asoslaydi.
