THE IMPACT OF CARDIOVASCULAR DISEASES ON ORAL HEALTH

The article is dedicated to studying the impact of cardiovascular diseases (CVD) on oral health. There is evidence that heart and vascular diseases can negatively affect the health of teeth and gums, increasing the risk of inflammation, periodontal diseases, and other dental problems. Circulatory disorders, high blood pressure, and the use of certain medications can cause dry mouth, impaired tissue healing, and increased susceptibility to infections. The article discusses the mechanisms of this interaction and provides recommendations for oral care in patients with CVD.
