Abstract

Actuality. Relevance Congenital glaucoma more often than other eye diseases leads to early blindness and disability in children in the first years of life. There are statistics that if congenital glaucoma is operated on in time, vision will be preserved in 75% of cases.            Purpose. To study the clinical and functional features of the course of familial congenital glaucoma using the example of three families (7 children).             Materials and methods. The total number of children was 7 (14 eyes) diagnosed with primary, familial, congenital glaucoma.              Results. Thus, the analysis of the clinical and functional state of familial congenital glaucoma showed in all patients the earlier manifestation of symptoms of congenital glaucoma.            Conclusion. Familial congenital glaucoma is refractory and difficult to treat, which is why these patients who have previously undergone repeated antiglaucomatous surgical interventions need to undergo sinustrabeculectomy with the use of drainage surgery for repeated operations.
