Maqolada Xorazm viloyati iqtisodiyotida ekologik omillar (suv tanqisligi, tuproq sho‘rlanishi, Orol dengizi ta’siri) va barqaror hududiy rivojlanish masalalari tahlil qilinadi. Statistik ma’lumotlar asosida qishloq xo‘jaligi, sanoat va turizm sohalarining rivoji ko‘rib chiqilgan. Tadqiqot natijalari ekologik cheklovlar iqtisodiy o‘sishga ta’sirini va barqaror alternativalar (ekoturizm, suv tejamkor texnologiyalar) takliflarini ko‘rsatadi.
