STUDY OF EARLY MEDIEVAL CENTRAL ASIAN COINS AS HISTORICAL SOURCES

This article is devoted to a general description of the Central Asian coins of the early Middle Ages and their study as a historical source. Statehood, administration, titles and terms of the Turkic Khaganate, including the Western Turkic Khaganate and its vassal oases, are analyzed on numismatic materials. In numismatic research, attention is focused on the regions where coins are found, the reading of coin inscriptions, iconography and symbolic symbols, and the role of coins in illuminating the history of statehood of the peoples of the region is paid attention to in the article.
