Abstract

The article examines the manifestations of religious and state relations in a secularist state, cases of desecularization that took place in the country when Uzbekistan was freed from the colonial system and gained independence, and complications of the despotic regime, as a result of which young people joined various extremist groups. This article also highlights the reasons for the emergence and maturation of extremist groups as a result of the use of Islam for political purposes.
