Острый гайморит - одно из самых распространенных заболеваний человека, и с каждым годом эта проблема становится все более актуальной. Об этом свидетельствует растущее число различных консенсусных документов, которые регулярно появляются в Европе и США, основанных на результатах новых научно обоснованных исследований и мета-анализов. Однако критерии заболеваемости и алгоритмы диагностики и лечения риносинусита существенно различаются в разных странах, причем хронический риносинусит, отличается больше, чем острый риносинусит.
