Abstract

Gout is a chronic inflammatory disease and is characterized by hyperuricemia, inflammation in the areas of monosodium urate crystal deposition. The main goal of therapy is to maintain the level of uric acid in the blood within the normal range and improve the quality of life of patients. This is achieved by following a therapeutic diet, taking urate-lowering drugs. The article presents data from the analysis of patient management in hospital and outpatient settings.
