Abstract

To study the efficacy and safety of therapy with the herbal tea NeuroAid II in patients with chronic cerebral ischemia (CCI) in outpatient settings. Sixty-five patients aged 46-74 years (mean age 60.1±3.2 years) were examined. In all patients, the diagnosis of CCI was confirmed by clinical and neuroimaging methods. Patients of the 1st group (n=37) received basic therapy and the herbal medicinal collection NeuroAid II, the 2nd group (n=28) — only basic therapy. During therapy, patients of the 1st group showed statistically significant improvement in cognitive functions, a decrease in the severity of symptoms of depression and anxiety, and manifestations of asthenia. The treatment was characterized by good tolerability, the absence of adverse events and cases of drug interactions. Therapy with the herbal medicinal collection NeuroAid II in patients with chronic cerebral ischemia in outpatient settings provides relief of the main clinical manifestations of CCI, is characterized by good tolerability and safety.
