Abstract

This study is aimed to carry out two methods of quantitative polymerase chain reaction (PCR), with the use of intercalating SYBR Green dye to determine the amount of gene HER2 (human epidermal receptor) in breast tumors. The experiments were carried out in 8 validated samples of breast cancer. In the samples of breast cancer, a comparison of the results of immunohistochemistry (IHC) and SYBR Green rt-PCR is 87.5% identical. Real-time PCR with SYBR Green allowing obtain a minimum number of false negative conclusions about the absence of marker expression in tumor tissue.
