Abstract

The complete pragmatic second language development ability in the EFL classroom is covered in this article in Uzbekistan. The paper emphasizes the significance of teaching pragmatic skills for efficient language learning and second language communication, and emphasizes the need for incorporating socio-pragmatic tasks, authentic materials, and cultural differences in the EFL curriculum. The essay also looks at numerous educational strategies that can be utilized to help students enhance their pragmatic competence, including role plays, debates, and discussions. Additionally, the article suggests the importance of providing corrective feedback and fostering learner uptake to enhance learners' interlanguage pragmatics. The article concludes with implications for language teachers in Uzbekistan, emphasizing the need to consider the communicative context and cultural differences when teaching pragmatic competence, and to incorporate a discourse-based approach to language teaching in the EFL classroom.
