METHODOLOGICAL RECOMMENDATIONS FOR THE FORMATION AND DEVELOPMENT OF HIGHER-ORDER COGNITIVE COMPETENCIES OF LANGUAGE LEARNERS

The current article gives the methodological recommendation for the formation and development of higher-order cognitive competencies of language learners through the application of a Phenomenon- based learning approach in the language learning environment and illustrates the main phases for the formation of higher-order cognitive competencies such as analysis, evaluation, and creativity skills corresponding to the levels of Bloom’s taxonomy. Also, it illustrates the content designed for a Higher-order cognitive growth journal which can help record the progress of the above-mentioned competencies.
