Abstract

Orchoepididymitis is an inflammatory disease of the testicle and its appendage, which in a destructive form can lead to abscess formation, impaired fertility and the need for surgical intervention. PDT, based on the use of photosensitizers and light of a certain wavelength, has a pronounced antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory effect. The paper analyzes clinical cases of PDT use in complex therapy, compares the timing of inflammation relief, tissue repair, and complication rates with traditional treatment methods. The results show that PDT promotes faster regression of inflammation, reduces the frequency of surgical interventions, and improves the functional state of the scrotum organs. The findings indicate the prospects of including photodynamic therapy in standard treatment protocols for destructive forms of orchoepididymitis. This article is devoted to the study and analysis of the effectiveness of photodynamic therapy in the complex treatment of patients with inflammatory diseases of the scrotum.
