THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL BASIS OF STUDIES OF THE CONCEPT OF “CREATIVITY”

Abstract

The article is devoted to the history of studying the genesis of the concept of "creativity" in the social sciences. The genesis of "creativity" is considered in the interpretation of various philosophical concepts. From a philosophical point of view, creativity is the creation of the new in the interests of social progress and the growth of human freedom. Moreover, different philosophical trends determine the essence and content of creativity in different ways. Some see it in the free, unconditioned, arbitrary activity of man, others associate it with the activity of God, who creates the natural world and man himself. The main qualities of a creative person with full equipment include the ability to make non-standard decisions, risk, lack of fear of realizing their individual qualities. Moreover, the articles cite different approaches to the problem of creativity, the creative personality in the era of antiquity, the Middle Ages, objection and the new era and in the condition of the information society. And also the difference of the concepts of “creativity” and “criticism” is analyzed and the process of their peculiar synthesis is considered.
