THEORETICAL AND METHODOLOGICAL ANALYSIS OF THE CONCEPT “STANDARD OF LIVING OF THE POPULATION”

This article discusses the solution of many problems associated with the standard of living of the population, special attention is paid to the theoretical and methodological problems that exist in modern conditions relating to the level and quality of life. The standard of living at present is widely covered in social-economic and socio-political spheres from the problems under consideration. In this article the standard of living is considered scientifically and theoretically from the sociological point of view. Despite the fact that the concept of "standard of living" is actually the subject of study of economic sphere, the author of the article argues that the theoretical approach to the problem in social processes should consider the concept of living standards from a completely different perspective. A sociological definition and analysis of the concept of "standard of living" is given. Also, the article lists actual international and national indicators that determine the standard of living of the population in the conditions of current demand, based on which the indicators and definition of living standards are measured.
