PLACE OF THE PRINCIPLE OF RATIONALISM IN THE TEACHINGS OF THINKERS OF THE EAST

In this article, in the framework of the sociology of religion, the issues of the sociocultural characteristics of rational thinking as the spiritual basis of everyday and social activities of a person were analyzed. To substantiate his conclusion, the author drew attention to the scientific heritage of Abu Nasr Farabi, recognized in the world as the “Second Teacher”, of course after Aristotle and IbnKhaldun - noted by influential Western scientists as the founder of modern sociology. As you know, the scientific views of these great scientists in most cases under the conditions of a totalitarian system were deliberately distorted that they supposedly developed their theories under the influence of the materialistic approach. Thanks to the study of their works, the author sought to refute such arguments, putting forward his own opinions on this issue. The article reveals the desire of these thinkers to rely on the sources of Islam to substantiate their own theory of rationality.
