IMPROVEMENT OF PROFESSIONAL AND SOCIAL COMPETENCES IN MODERN LEADERS

This article analyzes the issue of improving professional and social competencies in modern leaders from a sociological perspective. In the context of globalization and digital transformation processes, the effectiveness of leaders' professional activities is determined not only by their management skills, but also by such competencies as communicative, social cooperation, innovative thinking, sound decision-making, and adaptation to a changing environment. The study analyzes theoretical approaches to the development of professional and social competencies of leaders, reveals their role in personal and professional growth, and their impact on the effectiveness of management activities. It also covers practical mechanisms for improving competencies through the modern education system, continuous professional development, mentoring, and training programs. The article emphasizes the importance of a sound approach in the process of assessing and developing competencies, justifying it as an important factor ensuring the social and professional maturity of the leader's personality
