INSTITUTIONAL FRAMEWORK FOR REGULATING THE USE OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN THE PRC

Regulation of artificial intelligence is one of the most pressing challenges in modern regulatory development. China is one of the few countries to have adopted relevant legislation regulating this area. This regulation entails institutionalizing this area and regulating the use of artificial intelligence. This article analyzes the general principles of institutional regulation of artificial intelligence in China, identifying the main structures vested with relevant powers. China views the challenges of regulating the use of artificial intelligence through the lens of capitalizing on strategic opportunities and developing a globally competitive industry. Against the backdrop of increasing domestic and international risks associated with such technologies, institutionalization based on flexible regulation that does not hinder the flourishing of the Chinese artificial intelligence industry has become a priority.
