Abstract

This article examines how the processes of networkization of society have led to the spread of general surveillance and control practices, in which the usual boundaries of private property owners and state organizations no longer exist. It is also shown that humanity has simultaneously created an incredible amount of information, has the ability to use it regardless of time and distance, and has new technological means of communication. The idea is given that the strengthening of the general trend of quantification will lead to the spread of new mechanisms of social inequality. At the same time, it is highlighted that algorithmic systems in the digital society are automated, optimized and increase the efficiency of their work, but the result may not be as expected due to the fact that they cannot be predicted in advance and the impact is not always positive. In addition, it is shown that platforms are becoming an important element of the digital society and that their existence and activity are determined by scientifically based data and algorithmization processes, and new orders of values, new social mechanisms of control and management are being formed, expanding the possibility of taking into account the interests of society, business and the state. It is also proven that digitization will definitely spread systematically at a new stage of development.
