IDENTIFICATION OF INEQUALITY IN THE PROCESS OF DEFINING THE UNDERSTANDING OF POVERTY (ON THE MATERIALS OF SOCIOLOGICAL RESEARCH)

The article analyzes various approaches to the study of the problem of poverty. The issue of poverty and its reduction is an urgent problem for each state, since it affects various levels of government, one of which is social protection of the population. Poverty is a widely studied problem that is discussed in many academic disciplines and social sciences, which, due to their multidimensional nature, use different interpretations of the causes of poverty. Since there is currently no unified approach to understanding and explaining poverty, current trends include an attempt to develop a unifying theory of poverty to understand and design poverty reduction measures. The article also presents the results of a study on the social stratification of Uzbek society.
