Abstract

This article provides a comprehensive scientific analysis of the sociological essence of the concept of dependency. The study examines in depth the key economic, social, and cultural factors that influence the formation of this phenomenon and identifies their interrelations. Particular attention is given to assessing both the positive and negative impacts of dependency on societal development. Furthermore, the research analyzes the mechanisms underlying the emergence of dependency attitudes based on contemporary sociological theories. The findings indicate that dependency tendencies are closely linked to individuals’ level of social activity, work motivation, and the effectiveness of social institutions, all of which interact to shape this phenomenon.
