Abstract

This article analyzes the formation and development of public relations (PR) technologies in close connection with sociocultural factors. The study explores the historical roots of PR activities and their role as a tool for managing social relations, building trust, and creating a positive public image. The author highlights the impact of communication processes, information exchange, as well as value systems and cultural traditions on the emergence and evolution of PR as a social institution. The article also examines modern trends in the development of PR technologies within the context of digital communication, social media, and media content, which together shape a new sociocultural environment. According to the author, PR is not only an instrument of promotion but also an essential social institution that contributes to the formation of social consciousness, cultural identity, and civic engagement. The findings show that the effectiveness of public relations technologies depends not only on technical or organizational aspects but also on the sociocultural characteristics of society – including information culture, the level of public trust, national values, and communication traditions.
