THE THEORETICO-METHODOLOGICAL STUDY OF THE INTERRELATION BETWEEN THE CONCEPTS OF THE EDUCATION SYSTEM AND HUMAN CAPITAL

This article examines the concept of human capital, the history of its scientific implementation, and the stages in the development of human capital theory as an independent scientific field. It cites the research of American economist Theodore Schultz on human capital. It also analyzes the scientific research of Western economists and sociologists in the 1960s and the specific socioeconomic conditions that emerged in Western societies in the second half of the last century. Theodore Schultz was the first to define the term “human capital”. His two works, “Capital Formation through Education” and “Investing in Human Capital”, published in 1960-1961, brought him worldwide recognition. In his work, “Investing in Human Capital, “he wrote: “The concept of capital is based on the existence of actual things that have the economic capacity to provide services of some value in the future”.
