TRAINING OF QUALIFIED SPECIALISTS IN SOCIOLOGY IN THE SYSTEM OF HIGHER EDUCATION IN UZBEKISTAN - THE REQUIREMENT OF THE TIME

Sociology is considered a prestigious social science in the higher education system of developed countries. It is of great importance, since the results of theoretical and practical research of sociology can be applied in public life. Specialists of this science emphasize that the priority goal of sociological research is to study the factors influencing the processes and characteristics of social development. In Uzbekistan, there is a great need for specialists in sociology and its various areas. However, the training of qualified personnel in this area began only at the end of the 1980s, so today there is a shortage of qualified specialists. This scientific article presents opinions and conclusions related to the analysis of this issue.
