Abstract

Scientific foresight is a form of knowledge that reflects humanity’s aspiration to predict, envision, and shape the future. From a philosophical perspective, examining scientific foresight raises several intriguing questions: To what extent is foresight possible? Does prediction depend solely on knowledge, or is it also contingent on human cognition? What is the philosophical essence of scientific foresight, and through what foundations is it established? This article attempts to address these questions. Additionally, this article provides a philosophical analysis of the concept of scientific foresight and explores its theoretical underpinnings.
