The article discusses the role of playing activities in teaching English vocabulary to preschool children and the effectiveness of organizing educational processes with them through various games, based on the psychological age characteristics of children. In addition, the methods of proper usage of didactic, educational, integrative, situational, teamwork, competitive, rhythmic-musical, artistic, staged pictorial, problem-situational, verbal-creative types of games in the lessons described in details.
