ONGOING REFORMS TO IMPROVE THE SOCIAL PROTECTION SYSTEM IN UZBEKISTAN

Социальная защита - это в широком смысле совокупность правовых, экономических, социальных мер, обеспечивающих социальную и материальную защиту населения страны и закрепляющихся в обществе; а в узком смысле – это забота государства и общества о гражданах, нуждающихся в помощи в силу возраста, состояния здоровья, социального положения, недостаточной обеспеченности средствами к существованию. Его главная цель – обеспечить постоянное улучшение благосостояния населения, ликвидировать резкие различия между населением по уровню образования, культуры, профессиональной квалификации и доходам, помочь обществу обеспечить достойный уровень жизни и человеческого развития. В статье на основе соответствующей информации дано определение понятия «социальная защита», приоритетные направления, этапы политики социальной защиты, достигнутые достижения и недостатки, выявленные за последние годы, а также сущность вновь внедряемой системы социальной защиты.
