Abstract

This study analyzes the clinical, neurophysiological, and biochemical features of neurogenic lower limb deformities in children and evaluates the effectiveness of their comprehensive diagnosis and treatment. The research involved 80 children aged 5–16 years, divided into two groups based on deformity severity. Clinical assessment included the evaluation of muscle tone, range of motion, and limb segment measurements. Motor function was assessed using the Gross Motor Function Measure (GMFM-88), while spasticity was graded according to the Modified Ashworth Scale. Neurophysiological testing included electroneuromyography (ENMG) and somatosensory evoked potentials (SSEP), and biochemical studies determined alkaline phosphatase, hydroxyproline, and ionized calcium levels to evaluate fibrillogenesis. The results demonstrated a 45–50% improvement in motor function, a twofold reduction in spasticity, and significant normalization of nerve conduction parameters. Biochemical indicators revealed enhanced regenerative activity in bone and muscle tissues. The study confirms that early diagnosis, multistage rehabilitation, and comprehensive treatment significantly improve functional recovery and quality of life in children with neurogenic deformities of the lower limbs.
