The article presents data on the analysis of neurotrophic factors and their influence on the risk of developing cognitive impairment and dementia in patients with Parkinson's disease. A comparative assessment of Matrix metalloproteinase-9 and nerve growth factor and interleukin profile is given, and the prognostic value of their inclusion in diagnostic algorithms is assessed.
