Mazkur tadqiqot generallashgan epilepsiyaga chalingan bemorlarda kognitiv va affektiv funksiyalardagi o‘zgarishlarni baholashga qaratilgan bo‘lib, zamonaviy antiepileptik dori – lokosamidning samaradorligini aniqlash maqsad qilingan. Tadqiqotda 100 nafar bemor ishtirok etdi va ular kasallik davomiyligiga qarab uch guruhga ajratildi. Kognitiv funksiyalar Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA) testi, affektiv holat esa Hamilton Depression Rating Scale (HDRS) orqali baholandi. Lokosamid qabul qilgan bemorlarda kognitiv funksiyalar yaxshiroq saqlanib qolgan va depressiv simptomlar kamroq kuzatilgan. Epilepsiya davomiyligi ortgani sari kognitiv va affektiv buzilishlar kuchaygan bo‘lsa-da, lokosamid ushbu salbiy jarayonlarni sezilarli darajada yumshatgan. Tadqiqot natijalari lokosamidning nafaqat tutqanoqlarni kamaytirish, balki kognitiv va affektiv holatni yaxshilashdagi terapevtik potensialini tasdiqlaydi. Bu esa epilepsiyani kompleks baholash va davolashda psixonevrologik yondashuvni kuchaytirish zarurligini ko‘rsatadi.
