Сурункали буйрак касаллиги билан оғриган беморларда клиник курснинг хусусиятлари ва периодонтал ва оғиз шиллиқ қаватининг касалликлари частотаси ўрганилди. Уч йил ёки ундан кўпроқ вақт давомида сурункали буйрак касаллиги (ККД) билан оғриган 78 ўрта ёшли (45 ёшдан 59 ёшгача) еркаклар текширилди. 42 ККД билан оғриган беморлар орасида сурункали пиелонефрит, 36 сурункали гломерулонефрит бор еди. Сурункали пиелонефрит ва сурункали гломерулонефрит билан оғриган одамларда периодонтал тўқималарнинг ҳолатида бир хил ёш гуруҳидаги деярли соғлом одамларга нисбатан фарқлар мавжудлиги аниқланди. Бундай беморлар кўпинча периодонтал тўқималарнинг яллиғланиш ва дистрофик касалликларидан, шунингдек оғиз бўшлиғи ва лаблар шиллиқ қаватининг касалликларидан азият чекишади.
